House Network’s claim to fame is that they were the ‘original online estate agents’, launching in 2004 when the landscape was much less crowded. In 2015 they won a gold award at the ‘ESTAS’ (Estate and Letting Agent Awards).
House Network were founded in 2004, making them among the oldest online estate agencies. It was started by Graham Lock and Mark Readings, both of whom have a background in the property industry, and who wanted to use the internet to sell houses at low cost without sacrificing customer service.
Although this kind of service was barely know 10 years ago, people were increasingly using property portals to search for new homes. The two took on their first employee the next year, and in 2006 received their first outside investment (from a client whose home they had sold). They were soon selling over 1,000 properties a year and have grown steadily.
House Network are registered in Essex but have local representatives across the country.
